Day Tours

A selection of tours has been planned specifically for the Congress. Registering for one or more of these tours will allow you the opportunity to travel with colleagues from around the world while enjoying the marvellous attractions of this vast continent.

Some tours require minimum numbers to operate. If these numbers are not achieved, alternative program will be offered or a complete refund made. Certain tours will also have limited space, which will be allocated strictly in order of receipt of bookings. If these tours do not suit your interests or travel schedule, we would be happy to assist in designing a tailored itinerary to meet your needs.

The Bridge Climb
Cost: $210.00, MON – FRI
Duration: 3.5 hours
Time: Daily at 9.05am
Children under 12 years not permitted.

Coach transfer to Sydney Harbour Bridge
Walk along the upper span of the arch on catwalks and ladders all the way to the summit, 134 metres above Sydney Harbour.
The steady incline leaves you free to focus your attention on your Sydney experience, with opportunities for 360 degree views of Sydney, including east to the ocean, west to the mountains and the city surrounds.
When you reach the top you will have a sense of achievement that you'll remember forever - you've conquered an Australian icon recognised the world over!
No other Sydney tourist attraction can give you this feeling of standing at the top of the world, with the Harbour spread before you.

Coach Transfer to the Zoo
“Good Morning Taronga” is a fascinating tour showcasing Australian Animals at a time of day when they are most active! Departing from the Taronga Zoo Function Centre before the regular Zoo opening time you will have exclusive access to our famous Aussie animals.
Tour Highlights:

  • Koala photo experience with a 6 x 8 print out for each person.
  • Fully escorted tour of “Wild Australia” where you will see kangaroos, wombats, dingoes, echidnas, Australian birds and more.
  • Have an animal encounter where a keeper and native animal will come and meet you.
  • Walk to the top of our elephant stilt house for a “Bird’s Eye” view of the elephant enclosure and glittering Sydney Harbour beyond.
  • See the recently discovered ‘Dinosaur Tree”, the Wollemi Pine.

Sydney Opera House
Backstage Tour

Coach transfer to the Sydney Opera House.
This intimate tour gives you an exclusive insight into the inner workings of the building, and gain access normally reserved for performers and crew. See the Concert Hall stage from the conductor's perspective. Sit in the orchestra's pit. Stand where legends such as Dame Joan Sutherland and Pavarotti have performed.
Get inside the stars' dressing rooms.
Includes a full breakfast in the Green Room.


Sydney HarbourJet

HarbourJet is both an exhilarating high speed adventure ride as well as a fantastic tour of Sydney Harbour. When you first jump onto the boat, you won't be thrusted straight into the 1300 horse power thrill ride. Rather, the first half of the ride will be an enjoyable sightseeing experience that offers you a well-rounded background of the Eastern shore of Sydney Harbour.
The jet boat actually guides and offers passengers an in-depth history of the waters as it cruises through the inlets and bays that are scattered around the harbour. It also offers a prime opportunity for passengers to take the best photos of Australia's most famous icons - the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House.
HarboutJet unleash the full power of the jet at 75km/h, with a continual mix of 270-degree spins, wild fishtails and incredible power brake stops.


Harley Davidson – Long Reef & North Head Tour

Pick up from the Convention Centre.
Cruise over the Harbour Bridge like you never have before, on the back of a thundering, rumbling Harley.
We head up to Long Reef for a few photos before returning via North Head to stop and take in the truly magnificent ocean views. Then it's back on the bikes and back to the city. Drop off is at your request.


Blue Mountains

Explore World Heritage listed Blue Mountains. Stretching for over one million hectares the Blue Mountains is an inspiring mix of rainforest, canyons and tall forests, truly one of Australia’s natural wonders. View this wonderland of sandstone outcrops, deep ravines, pristine bushland and dramatic cliffs. This rugged and beautiful region forms part of the Great Dividing Range - linking tropical north to temperate south, while dividing coastal cities from the vast outback. Later, enjoy seeing unique Australian wildlife at Featherdale Wildlife Park. Get up close and personal with kangaroos, koalas, wallabies and wombats.
Pass by Homebush Bay, site of the 2000 Olympic Games.
Discover Leura village - a delightful blend of groomed gardens and quaint shops. Stop at Echo Point and see the famous Three Sisters rock formation and discover the aboriginal dreamtime legends. Follow the scenic Cliff Drive and enjoy breathtaking views of the Megalong Valley. Travel through Katoomba - heart of the resort region within the Blue Mountains and enjoy an easy walk and stroll along the boardwalk through the Rainforest. Time for a light lunch.
Ride the steepest incline Railway in the world down to the lush and hidden valley. Glide out of the valley on the Cableway taking in the panoramic views and take a ride on the recently unveiled Skyway, a journey 370 metres above ancient ravines and dazzling waterfalls. Take in the fabulous views from Govett’s Leap Lookout then enjoy a guided bushwalk along the Fairfax Heritage Walk. Return to Sydney having an unforgettable day.


Hunter Valley Wine Taster

Explore the fertile Hunter Valley and taste award-winning regional foods and wines. Enjoy private vineyard inspections and learn of the winemaking process. Spend your time strolling amongst the vineyards, purchase some wines, or just enjoy the beautiful Australian countryside. Be treated to magnificent views of the Hawkesbury River in the morning. See the remains of a convict built road winding into the Hunter Valley and stroll around historic Wollombi Village. Home to Australia’s oldest wine producing region, the Hunter Valley owes its fame to world class viticulturalists and fertile soils. Enjoy a private wine tasting experience at world renowned Lindemans, then visit Hunter Resort and enjoy a presentation on how the winery operates, a truly informative and educational experience. A delicious luncheon is accompanied by wine tastings – your two-course lunch will be complimented with specially chosen wines. Have the opportunity to visit Bluetongue Brewery, home of Bluetongue Beer. Further tastings include a visit to Oakvale Winery – be sure to taste their Australian wines. Our last stop will take you to Hunter Valley Gardens, a quaint little township within the Hunter Valley. Have free time to explore the many hidden delights in the garden village. You have the opportunity to try further tastings at the Hunter Valley Cellars. After departing Hunter Valley Gardens we head back to Sydney via Freeman's Waterhole and the Expressway.


Sea Plane to Doyle’s

Opening in 1885 Doyle’s at Watson’s Bay is Australia’s first seafood restaurant! Family owned and operated for over 5 generations, it is unquestionably a Sydney institution. Offering both indoor and outdoor dining, the restaurant is located right on the foreshore of Watson’s Bay and overlooks the panorama of Sydney Harbour.
Indulge your senses with a magnificent pre-lunch Sydney Highlights scenic flight starting from Rose Bay. Once back on the water we'll transfer you by water taxi the short distance to Watson's Bay wharf and Doyle’s Restaurant.
Visitors to Watson's Bay have the opportunity to enhance and appreciate the wonderful views and colonial connections by walking from the village to South Head. The walk takes in the Sydney Harbour National Park, passes Lady Jane Beach – (where clothing is optional!), and continues to Hornby Lighthouse. You'll discover Camp Cove, the spot where the First Fleet landed in Sydney Harbour. You'll see Watson’s Bay's most breathtaking vistas are at The Gap - site of Sydney's worst maritime tragedy when the Dunbar was shipwrecked in 1857. After lunch board the graceful Sydney ferry at your leisure for the return to Circular Quay.
